The Police and Justice Act 2006 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2007

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 53(1) of the Police and Justice Act 2006(1).

1. --(1) This Order may be cited as the Police and Justice Act 2006 (Commencement No. 5) Order 2007.

(2) This Order extends to Wales.

2.   The following provisions of the Police and Justice Act 2006 shall come into force in Wales on 19th November 2007--

(a) section 22 and Schedule 9 (amendments to the Crime and Disorder Act 1998);

(b) section 52 (amendments and repeals) in so far as it relates to the entries in Schedule 15 in sub-paragraph (c);

(c) in Part 3 of Schedule 15 (repeals: crime and anti-social behaviour) the entries relating to --

(i) the Crime and Disorder Act 1998(2);

(ii) the Police Reform Act 2002(3); and

(iii) the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005(4).

This Order brings into force in Wales section 22 of and Schedule 9 to the Police and Justice Act 2006.
