(The document as of February, 2008) Statutory Instruments2007 No. 2335 (C. 87)COUNTRYSIDE, ENGLANDThe Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 (Commencement No. 13) Order 2007Made 7th August 2007 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 103(3) of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000(1), the Secretary of State makes the following Order. Citation, interpretation and application1. --(1)В This Order may be cited as the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 (Commencement No. 13) Order 2007. (2)В In this Order, "the Act" means the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000. (3)В This Order applies in relation to England only. Appointed day2. В В 1st October 2007 is the day appointed for the coming into force of paragraph 4 of Schedule 6 to the Act and section 57 of the Act (creation, diversion and stopping up of highways), in so far as it gives effect to that paragraph. Jonathan Shaw Parliamentary Under Secretary of State Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs 7th August 2007 EXPLANATORY NOTE(This note is not part of the Order) This Order brings into force on 1st October 2007, in relation to England, paragraph 4 of Schedule 6 to the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 ("the 2000 Act") and section 57 of that Act in so far as it relates to that paragraph. Paragraph 4 of Schedule 6 to the 2000 Act inserts section 31A of the Highways Act 1980 (c. 66) ("the 1980 Act") which makes provision relating to registers to be kept by local authorities in relation to maps, statements and declarations deposited or lodged under section 31(6) of the 1980 Act concerning dedicated highways. NOTE AS TO EARLIER COMMENCEMENT ORDERS(This note is not part of the Order) The following provisions of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 have been brought into force in England by commencement order made before the date of this Order:
