(The document as of February, 2008) Statutory Instruments2007 No. 1371CIVIL AVIATIONThe Rules of the Air (Amendment) Regulations 2007Made 30th April 2007 Coming into force 31st May 2007 The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of his powers under article 95(1) of the Air Navigation Order 2005(1), makes the following Regulations: 1. В В These Regulations may be cited as the Rules of the Air (Amendment) Regulations 2007 and shall come into force on 31st May 2007. 2. В В Schedule 1 to the Rules of the Air Regulations 2007 shall be amended as follows. 3. В В For rule 28(5) there shall be substituted-- " (5)В Paragraph (2) shall not apply to a helicopter which-- (a) flies at or below 3,000 feet above mean sea level; (b) flies at a speed which, having regard to the visibility, is reasonable; (c) remains clear of cloud with the surface in sight; and (d) is in a flight visibility of at least 1,500 metres. Merron Parliamentary Under Secretary of State 30th April 2007 Department for Transport EXPLANATORY NOTE(This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations amend the Rule of the Air Regulations 2007 by adding sub-paragraph (d) to rule 28(5) and making appropriate consequential changes to sub-paragraphs (b) and (c).
