The Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) (Amendment) Regulations 2007

The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by article 70(1) of the Air Navigation Order 2005(1), makes the following Regulations:

Citation and Commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) (Amendment) Regulations 2007 and shall come into force on 15th January 2007.

Amendment of Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) Regulations 2002

2. The Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) Regulations 2002(2) shall be amended by substituting for the definition of "Technical Instructions" in Regulation 3(1)--

" "Technical Instructions" means the 2007–2008 English language edition of the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air, approved and published by decision of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organisation; " .

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

These Regulations amend the Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) Regulations 2002. The definition of "Technical Instructions" is amended so as to refer to the 2007–2008 edition of the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air, approved and published by decision of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organisation.

The Technical Instructions can be purchased from Labeline of Midas House Chivenor Business Park Barnstaple Devon EX31 4AY; TSO Limited of PO Box 29 Norwich NR3 1GN and from Freight Merchandising Services Limited of Unit 19 Ashford Industrial Estate Shield Road Ashford Middlesex TW15 1AU.

A regulatory impact study has not been produced for these Regulations as they have no impact on the costs of business.
