The Criminal Defence Service Act 2006 (Commencement) Order 2006


 Made11 September 2006 

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5(2) of the Criminal Defence Service Act 2006[1], makes the following Order:

    1.This Order may be cited as the Criminal Defence Service Act 2006 (Commencement) Order 2006.

    2.The day appointed for the coming into force of those provisions of the Criminal Defence Service Act 2006 which are not already in force is 2nd October 2006.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order brings into force on 2nd October 2006 those sections of the Criminal Defence Service Act 2006 (sections 1 to 4) which are not already in force. Section 5 of the Act came into force on Royal Assent.
