The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Instrument in exercise of powers conferred by section 16 and 326 of the Highways Act 1980[1] and now vested in him[2] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf: 1.This Instrument may be cited as The Greater Manchester County Council (Carrington, Spur, Trafford) (Special Roads) Scheme 1984 Revocation Scheme 2005 Confirmation Instrument 2006 and shall come into force on the date on which notice that it has been confirmed is first published in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the Highways Act 1980. 2.The Greater Manchester County Council (Carrington, Spur, Trafford) (Special Roads) Scheme 1984 Revocation Scheme 2005 ("the Scheme") is hereby confirmed without modifications. 3.The Scheme as confirmed is set out in the Schedule hereto and copies of the Scheme are deposited at the offices of the Department for Transport, Floor 13 (IMD), Ashdown House, St Leonards on Sea, Hastings, East Sussex TN37 7GA, and at the offices of the Trafford Borough Council at Trafford Town Hall, Talbot Road, Stretford, Greater Manchester M32 0YU. Blackie Regional Director Government Office for the North East 16th February 2006 Trafford Borough Council being the highway authority for the special road concerned makes this Scheme in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 16 and 326 of the Highways Act 1980 and all other powers enabling it in that behalf. 1.The Greater Manchester County Council (Carrington, Spur, Trafford) (Special Roads) Scheme 1984 is hereby revoked. 2.This Scheme may be cited as The Greater Manchester County Council (Carrington, Spur, Trafford) (Special Roads) Scheme 1984 Revocation Scheme 2005.
