The Secretary of State, being a Minister designated[1] for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972[2] in relation to medicinal products, in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by the said section, makes the following Regulations: Citation and commencement 1.These Regulations may be cited as the Medicines (Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products for Human Use) (Consequential Amendment) Regulations 2006 and shall come into force on 1st April 2006. Amendment of the Medicines (Retail Sale or Supply of Herbal Remedies) Order 1977 2.Article 1A of the Medicines (Retail Sale or Supply of Herbal Remedies) Order 1977[3], as inserted by paragraph 1 of Schedule 7 to the Medicines (Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products for Human Use) Regulations 2005[4], is renumbered as article 1B. Signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Health Jane Kennedy Minister of State, Department of Health 14th February 2006 (This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations amend the Medicines (Retail Sale or Supply of Herbal Remedies) Order 1977, which makes provision in relation to the retail sale or supply of herbal remedies. Regulation 2 renumbers article 1A of the Order, as inserted by the Medicines (Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products for Human Use) Regulations 2005, as article 1B.
