The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 52(1) and 60(1)(e) and (1A) of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981[1] and by virtue of the Department of Transport (Fees) Order 1988[2], and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 61(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations: Citation and commencement 1.These Regulations may be cited as the Public Service Vehicles (Operators' Licences) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 30th September 2005. Amendments 2.The Schedule to the Public Service Vehicles (Operators' Licences) (Fees) Regulations 1995[3] (the "principal Regulations") is amended by substituting—
(b) in relation to fee number (ii), "£134" for "£119"; (c) in relation to fee numbers (iii) and (iv), respectively—
(ii) in column 5, "£27" for "£24" in each place where it occurs; (d) in relation to fee number (v), "£102" for "£90";
(ii) in column 5, "£6.50" for "£5.90"; (f) in relation to fee numbers (vii) and (viii), respectively, "£53" for "£47"; and Transitional provisions (This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations increase the fees which are payable under the Public Service Vehicles (Operators' Licences) (Fees) Regulations 1995. The fee increases (with percentage increases shown in brackets) are shown in the table below. The fees were last increased on 30th August 2004.
The Regulations also contain transitional provisions in respect of fees for the grant of a standard or a restricted operators' licence.
