JUDICIAL APPOINTMENTS AND REMOVALS, NORTHERN IRELAND


The Constitutional Reform Act 2005 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2005

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 148(1) of the Constitutional Reform Act[1], hereby makes the following Order:

    1.This Order may be cited as the Constitutional Reform Act 2005 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2005.

    2.—(1) The following provisions of the Constitutional Reform Act 2005 shall come into force on 31st August 2005.

    (2) The provisions referred to in paragraph (1) are–

        section 15(2) (other functions of the Lord Chancellor and organisation of the courts) to the extent necessary to bring into force the provisions of Schedule 5 (functions under legislation relating to Northern Ireland) specified below; and

        paragraphs 122(4) and 126(4) of Schedule 5.

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Commencement Order, which is the second to be made under the Constitutional Reform Act 2005, brings into force on 31st August 2005 the provisions of the Act listed in Article 2(2).
