The Registration of Civil Partnerships (Fees) Order 2005

The Chancellor of the Exchequer, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 34(1) and 36(4) of the Civil Partnership Act 2004[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement
    1.This Order may be cited as the Registration of Civil Partnerships (Fees) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 5th December 2005.

Fees payable
    2.In respect of the matters set out in the first column of the Schedule to this Order, the fee specified in the second column shall be payable to the person specified in the third column.

    7.Attendance of the civil partnership registrar for the purpose of signing the civil partnership schedule in accordance with the procedures for house-bound and detained persons

    8.Attendance of the civil partnership registrar in whose presence the Registrar General's licence is signed

(This note is not part of the Order)


In relation to the registration of civil partnerships, this Order specifies what fees are to be paid, the amount of them and who they are to be paid to.

This Order does not impose a charge on business.
