The Treasury are designated[1] for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972[2] in relation to (i) measures relating to the interruption or reduction, in part or completely, of economic relations with one or more countries which are not Member States, and (ii) measures relating to the movement of capital and to payments between Member States and between Member States and countries which are not Member States; The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by that section, make the following Regulations: Citation and commencement 1.These Regulations may be cited as the Terrorism (United Nations Measures) Order 2001 (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and come into force on 29th June 2005. Amendment to the Terrorism (United Nations Measures) Order 2001 2.For the definition of "Council Decision" in article 2(1) of the Terrorism (United Nations Measures) Order 2001[3] substitute—
Revocation (This note is not part of the Regulations) Regulation 2 amends the definition of "Council Decision" in article 2 of the Terrorism (United Nations Measures) Order 2001 (the "Order") so as to refer to Council Decision 2005/221/EC of 14th March 2005. A regulatory impact assessment has not been prepared for these Regulations because they have no effect on the cost of business.
