The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by section 162(4) of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005[1], hereby makes the following Order: Citation and commencement 1.This Order may be cited as the Royal Parks (Regulation of Specified Parks) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 1st July 2005. Specified parks 2.The following parks, gardens, recreation grounds, open spaces or other land in the metropolitan police district are hereby specified for the purposes of section 162 of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (Regulation of specified parks):
(This note is not part of the Order) This Order specifies the parks, gardens, recreation grounds, open spaces or other land in the metropolitan police district to which the Parks Regulation Act 1872 will cease to apply when the Royal Parks Constabulary is abolished under section 161 of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005. Section 2 of the Parks Regulation (Amendment) Act 1926 (Power to make regulations) will continue to apply to the specified parks in the same way as it applies to other parks to which the 1872 Act applies.
