The Criminal Justice and Court Services Act 2000 (Commencement No. 14) Order 2005


 Made9th March 2005 

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 80 of the Criminal Justice and Court Services Act 2000[1] hereby makes the following Order:

    1.This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice and Court Services Act 2000 (Commencement No. 14) Order 2005.

    2.Section 57 of the Criminal Justice and Court Services Act 2000[2] (testing persons in police detention) shall come into force on 1st April 2005 within the following police areas[3] - 

    (a) Gwent;

    (b) Northamptonshire; and

    (c) South Wales.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


Article 2 of this Order brings section 57 of the Criminal Justice and Court Services Act 2000 (testing persons in police detention) into force on 1st April 2005 in the police areas of Gwent, Northamptonshire and South Wales.
