The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 99 of the Traffic Management Act 2004[1], hereby makes the following Order:

Citation
1.This Order may be cited as the Traffic Management Act 2004 (Commencement No.2) (England) Order 2004.

Commencement of provisions
2.The following provisions of the Traffic Management Act 2004 shall come into force as respects England on 4th January 2005:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 4th January 2005, as respects England, the following provisions of the Traffic Management Act 2004.

Part 2, which relates to network management by local traffic authorities.

Section 43(1), (2) and (4), which deal with directions relating to the timing of street works.
