The Exempt Charities Order 2004

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 27th day of July 2004

Present,

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in pursuance of paragraph (c) of Schedule 2 to the Charities Act 1993[1], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered as follows:

    1.This Order may be cited as the Exempt Charities Order 2004 and shall come into force on 31st July 2004.

    2.Roehampton University is hereby declared to be an exempt charity for the purposes of the Charities Act 1993.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order declares Roehampton University to be an exempt charity within the meaning of the Charities Act 1993 with effect from 31st July 2004. An exempt charity is not required to be registered with the Charity Commission and the Commissioners cannot exercise any powers under the Act in relation to an exempt charity except at the charity's request.
