The National Assembly for Wales makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 128(4)(b) and (c) of the Learning and Skills Act 2000[1]. Name, commencement, application and interpretation 1. - (1) These Regulations are called The Inspection of Youth Support Services in Wales Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 1st August 2004. (2) These Regulations apply to Wales. (3) In these Regulations -
Action plan
(b) the National Assembly for Wales; (c) the National Council for Education and Training in Wales; (d) any other organisations which contribute to the provision of the youth support services who were not included within the original report from the Chief Inspector; (e) young people's representatives groups within the area for which the local authority is responsible; (f) all school councils within the area for which the local authority is responsible; and (g) any partnership established by the local authority to encourage, enable or assist young persons (directly or indirectly) -
(ii) to take advantage of opportunities for employment, or (iii) to participate effectively and responsibly in the life of their communities. (4) A copy of the action plan must also be sent (free of charge) to any member of the public who request a copy. (This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations state the time-scale within which statements under section 128 of the Learning and Skills Act 2000 are to be published and who should be sent a copy. A statement under section 128 is a statement of the action which is proposed by the party whose services have been inspected, in light of a report following an inspection of Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales. The Chief Inspector may arrange for the publication of a report of an inspection having inspected the provision of youth support services within a local authority has been directed by the National Assembly to provide, secure or participate in.
