NATIONAL LOTTERY

The Millennium Commission (Reduction in Membership) Order 2003

	Made	20th November 2003
	Laid before Parliament	26th November 2003
	Coming into force	1st January 2004

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by paragraph 2 of Schedule 6 to the National Lottery etc. Act 1993[1] hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement
    1.This Order may be cited as the Millennium Commission (Reduction in Membership) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 1st January 2004.

Reduction in membership
    2.Paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 6 to the National Lottery etc. Act 1993 is amended so as to substitute "eight" for "nine".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order reduces the total number of members to be appointed to the Millennium Commission (established under section 40 of the National Lottery etc. Act 1993) from nine to eight.
