Education (Revocation of Spent Provisions) (England) Regulations 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred upon the Secretary of State by sections 29(5) and 408 of the Education Act 1996[1], section 144 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998[2] and section 214 of the Education Act 2002[3], the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement 1. - (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Revocation of Spent Provisions) (England) Regulations 2003.
(2) These Regulations come into force on 30th November 2003.
Revocations 2. - (1) The Regulations listed in Part 1 of the Schedule (which have effect only in relation to England) are hereby revoked to the extent specified here.
(2) The Regulations listed in Part 2 of the Schedule are hereby revoked in relation to England to the extent specified here.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)These Regulations revoke -
(a) a number of transitional Regulations that were made under the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 in preparation for the implementation of that Act, and which are now spent; and
(b) the Education (School Curriculum and Related Information) Regulations 1989 except for regulation 4 regarding information to be published with the governing body's annual report to parents.
