The Secretary of State for Transport has made this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980[1] and now vested in him[2], and of all other enabling powers: 1.This Order may be cited as the A57 Trunk Road (Markham Moor to Lincoln) (Detrunking) Order 2003 and shall come into force on 15th September 2003. 2.In this Order -
(ii) "the trunk road" means the A57 Trunk Road; and (iii) "the plan" means the plan, numbered HA 10/OD/452, marked "The A57 Trunk Road (Markham Moor to Lincoln) (Detrunking) Order 2003", signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at DFT Records Management Branch, Ashdown House, Sedlescombe Road North, St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, TN37 7GA. 3.The lengths of the trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a principal road from the date on which the Order comes into force. The length of the trunk road ceasing to be a trunk road are situated:
(ii) the eastern end of the toll bridge across the River Trent at Dunham-on-Trent (marked "C" on the plan) and the City of Lincoln boundary, north west of Lincoln, all in the County of Lincoln (marked "D" on the plan).
