The Electoral Commission[1], in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 17[2] and 26[3] of the Local Government Act 1992, hereby make the following Order: Citation and commencement 1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the District of Epping Forest (Electoral Changes) (Amendment) Order 2002. (2) This Order shall come into force on the day after that on which it is made. Amendment to the 2001 Order 2. - (1) The District of Epping Forest (Electoral Changes) Order 2001[4] shall be amended as follows. (2) In the entry for the district ward of Roydon in Schedule 2, the numeral "1" shall be inserted into column (2), and omitted from column (3). That Order was made by the Secretary of State. The functions of the Secretary of State under sections 13 to 15 and 17 of the Local Government Act 1992, so far as they relate to electoral changes, were transferred with modifications to the Electoral Commission by the Local Government Commission for England (Transfer of Functions) Order 2001 (S.I. 2001/3962) with effect from 1st April 2002. Notes: [1] The Electoral Commission was established by the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 (c. 41).
