The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 60(6) and 166(3) of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999[1], hereby makes the following Regulations: Citation and commencement 1.These Regulations may be cited as the Immigration Appeals (Family Visitor) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 15th May 2002. Interpretation 2.In these Regulations -
Amendment of the 2000 Regulations (This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations revoke the provisions of the Immigration Appeals (Family Visitor) (No. 2) Regulations 2000 which require payment, specify the form of payment, and provide for repayment of a fee by a family visitor when appealing against a refusal of entry clearance. In relation to appeals brought before the coming into force date of these Regulations the ability of an entry clearance officer to repay a fee if the appeal is successful is preserved.
