EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order revokes the Export of Goods (Federal Republic of Yugoslavia) (Control) Order 1998 which prohibited the exportation of any goods specified in the Annex to Council Regulation (EC) No. 926/98 (OJ No. L 130, 1.5.1998, p.1.) to any destination in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Council Regulation (EC) No 2156/2001 of 5 November 2001 (OJ No. L 289, of 6.11.2001, p.5) removed the prohibition on the sale or supply to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia of equipment which might be used for internal repression or terrorism and repealed Council Regulation (EC) No 926/98.
