Amendments made to the principal Regulations by regulation 2 apply to incidents occurring on or after 28th January 2002 and: increase the charge where the traffic casualty received NHS treatment but was not admitted to hospital from Ј354 to Ј402; increase the daily charge for NHS treatment where the traffic casualty is admitted to hospital from Ј435 to Ј494; and increase the maximum charge for treatment where the traffic casualty is admitted to hospital from Ј10,000 to Ј30,000. Regulation 3 is a saving provision which maintains the current charges for accidents occurring before 28th January 2002.
