The Hackney Education Action Zone (Variation) Order 2001

Whereas an application for the purpose of varying an education action zone has been made to the Secretary of State with the consent of the governing bodies of every school participating in the zone.

    Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 10(3) and 138(7) of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998[1], the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencment
    1.This Order shall be cited as the Hackney Education Action Zone (Variation) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 1st September 2001.

Interpretation
    2.In this Order - 

    "Hackney Education Action Zone" means the Education Action Zone established by the Hackney Education Action Zone Order 1999[2].

Variation of the Hackney Education Action Zone Order 1999
    3. - (1) The Hackney Education Action Zone Order 1999 is varied as follows:

    (2) In Schedule 2 of that Order the words "St John and St James CE Primary School, DfEE No. 3000, Isabella Road, London, E9 6DU" are added.

    (3) In Schedule 2 of that Order the words "Woodbury Down Community Primary School" are substituted for "Woodbury Down Infants and Junior School".

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order varies the Hackney Education Action Zone by adding one school and changing the name of another.
