The A421 (M1 Junction 13 Roundabout, Husborne Crawley, Bedfordshire) (Trunking) Order 2001

	Coming into force	29th June 2001

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980[1] and now vested in him[2] and of all other enabling powers:

    1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the A421 (M1 Junction 13 Roundabout, Husborne Crawley, Bedfordshire) (Trunking) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 29th June 2001.

    (2) In this Order, all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway.

    2.The length of highway described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to be a principal road and shall be classified as a trunk road from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies Bedfordshire County Council that he is to become the highway authority for this length of road.

    3.The centre line of the new trunk road is indicated by a heavy black line on the plan folio numbered HA 10/PS/243 marked "The A421 (M1 Junction 13 Roundabout, Husborne Crawley, Bedfordshire) (Trunking) Order 2001" signed by authority of the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions and deposited at the DETR Records Management Branch, Floor 13 (IMD), Ashdown House, St Leonards on Sea, Hastings, East Sussex TN37 7GA.

THE SCHEDULE
LENGTH OF HIGHWAY BECOMING A TRUNK ROAD

The length of highway becoming a trunk road is the A421 from a point 30 metres north of the centre of the M1 Junction 13 Roundabout to a point 31 metres south of the centre of the M1 Junction 13 Roundabout in the Parish of Husborne Crawley in the District of Mid Bedfordshire in the County of Bedfordshire and is shown by a heavy black line on the plan folio numbered HA 10/PS/243 marked "The A421 (M1 Junction 13 Roundabout, Husborne Crawley, Bedfordshire) (Trunking) Order 2001".
