The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 17 and 26 of the Local Government Act 1992[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order: Citation, commencement and interpretation 1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the County of Cumbria (Electoral Changes) (Amendment) Order 2001. (2) This Order shall come into force on the day after that on which it is made. Amendment of Order 2.The County of Cumbria (Electoral Changes) Order 2000[2] is amended, in column (2) of the Schedule under the heading, "In the district of Eden", -
(b) in respect of the column (1) entry "Eden Lakes", by the insertion of the ward of "Crosby Ravensworth".
(This note is not part of the Order) This Order corrects errors in the County of Cumbria (Electoral Changes) Order 2000. The amendment made by article 2 clarifies that the district ward of Crosby Ravensworth is not part of Kirkby Stephen division, but forms part of the Eden Lakes division. Notes: [1] 1992 c. 19.
