The Yugoslavia (Prohibition of Flights) (No. 2) (Revocation) Regulations 2000

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, being a Minister designated[1] for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972[2] in relation to matters relating to air transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by that section hereby makes the following Regulations: -

Citation and commencement
1.These Regulations may be cited as the Yugoslavia (Prohibition of Flights) (No. 2) (Revocation) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 30th November 2000.

Revocation
2.The Yugoslavia (Prohibition of Flights) (No. 2) Regulations 1999[3] are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations revoke the Yugoslavia (Prohibition of Flights) (No. 2) Regulations 1999. Those Regulations specify the sanctions that may be imposed where a person acts contrary to certain provisions of Council Regulation (EC) No. 2151/1999[4] imposing a ban on flights between the European Community and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia other than authorised flights serving Montenegro or Kosovo. That Council Regulation has been revoked by Council Regulation (EC) No. 2227/2000[5].
