The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 99(1) of the Supreme Court Act 1981[1] and section 2(1) of the County Courts Act 1984[2], hereby makes the following Order: - 1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the Civil Courts (Amendment No. 2) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 1st December 2000. (2) In this Order, a Schedule referred to by a number alone means the Schedule so numbered in the Civil Courts Order 1983[3]. 2. - (1) The holding of the Caerphilly County Court shall be discontinued[4]. (2) In Schedule 1, "Caerphilly" shall be deleted from its position in the second column opposite the entry for "Pontypridd" in the first column. (3) In Schedule 3, the entry relating to Caerphilly shall be deleted. Irvine of Lairg, C. 5th October 2000 (This note is not part of the Order) This Order amends the Civil Courts Order 1983 so as to close the county court at Caerphilly.
