The A421 Trunk Road (Marsh Leys Improvement) (Trunking) Order 2000

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions ("the Secretary of State") makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980[1], and now vested in him[2], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf:-

    1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the A421 Trunk Road (Marsh Leys Improvement) (Trunking) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 19th May 2000.

    (2) In this Order, all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway.

    2.The highway described in the Schedule to this Order shall become a trunk road from the date when this Order comes into force.

    3.The centre line of the new trunk road is indicated by a heavy black line on the site plan in the folio numbered HA10/PS/234 marked "The A421 Trunk Road (Marsh Leys Improvement) (Trunking) Order 2000", signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Highways Agency, St Christopher House, Southwark Street, London SE1 0TE.

THE SCHEDULE

LENGTH OF HIGHWAY BECOMING TRUNK ROAD


It is proposed that a new section of single carriageway road will be constructed between a point approximately 400m south west of the A421/A5134 Woburn Road roundabout to a point approximately 250m east of the A421/A5134 Woburn Road roundabout.
