The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 83(1) and 89(1) of the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order: Citation 1.This Order may be cited as the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2000. Appointed day 2.The day appointed for the coming into force of section 10 of the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 (late payments by employers to occupational pension schemes) is 3rd April 2000. Jeff Rooker Minister of State, Department of Social Security 7th March 2000 (This note is not part of the Order) This Order brings into force on 3rd April 2000 section 10 of the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 (which amends section 49 of the Pensions Act 1995 (c. 26) in relation to the payments to be made by employers into occupational pension schemes), in so far as it is not already in force by virtue of section 89(5) of that Act of 1999. (This note is not part of the Order) The following provisions of the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 have been brought into force by the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/3309 (C.88)) and the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/3420 (C.92)).
