The Legal Services Ombudsman (Jurisdiction) (Amendment) Order 1999

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 22(11) of the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990[1], makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement
    1.This Order may be cited as the Legal Services Ombudsman (Jurisdiction) (Amendment) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 25th November 1999.

Amendments to the Legal Services Ombudsman (Jurisdiction) Order 1990
    2.In Part I of the Schedule to the Legal Services Ombudsman (Jurisdiction) Order 1990[2] after "The Institute of Legal Executives" there shall be inserted "The Chartered Institute of Patent Agents".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order extends the jurisdiction of the Legal Services Ombudsman under section 22 of the Courts and Legal Services Act 1990 to include the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents.
