The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 8 of the Law of Distress Amendment Act 1888[1], and section 3 of the Law of Distress Amendment Act 1895[2], makes the following Rules: Citation and commencement 1.These Rules may be cited as the Distress for Rent (Amendment) (No. 2) Rules 1999 and shall come into force on 4th October 1999, immediately after the coming into force of the Distress for Rent (Amendment) Rules 1999[3]. Amendments to Distress for Rent Rules 1988 2.Appendix 3 to the Distress for Rent Rules 1988[4] shall be amended as follows:
(b) in column 2, opposite "Brighton", "Brighton" shall be substituted for "Lewes"; and (c) after the entry for Monmouth the following entry shall be inserted:
(This note is not part of the Rules) These Rules correct two errors in Appendix 3 to the Distress for Rent Rules 1998, which was inserted by Schedule 2 to the Distress for Rent (Amendment) Rules 1999:
