The Judicial Pensions (Qualifying Judicial Offices) (President of the Competition Commission Appeal Tribunals) Order 1999

The Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 71 and 75 of the Competition Act 1998[1] hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement
    1.This Order may be cited as the Judicial Pensions (Qualifying Judicial Offices) (President of the Competition Commission Appeal Tribunals) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st October 1999.

    2.In Schedule 1 to the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993[2] (offices which may be qualifying judicial offices) insert at the end of the section in Part II headed "Members of tribunals":



    " President of the Competition Commission Appeal Tribunals".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order amends Part II of Schedule 1 to the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993 by adding the office of President of the Competition Commission Appeal Tribunals to the list of offices which may be judicial offices for the purposes of the arrangements in respect of judicial pensions contained in Part I of the Act.
