The Appointment of Queen's Counsel Fees Order 1999

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 45(2) of the Access to Justice Act 1999[1], makes the following Order-

Citation and commencement
    1.This Order may be cited as the Appointment of Queen's Counsel Fees Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st September 1999.

Fee upon application for recommendation for appointment as Queen's Counsel in England and Wales
    2.Where a person applies to the Lord Chancellor to be recommended for appointment as Queen's Counsel in England and Wales, he shall pay a fee of Ј335.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order specifies the amount of the fee payable by a person who wishes to apply to the Lord Chancellor to be recommended for appointment as Queen's Counsel in England and Wales.
