The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by section 25(1) and (2) of the Social Security Administration (Fraud) Act 1997[1] and of all other powers enabling her in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order: Citation 1.This Order may be cited as the Social Security Administration (Fraud) Act 1997 (Commencement No. 7) Order 1999. Appointed day 2.The day appointed for the coming into force of sections 20(2) (return of social security post) and 21(2) (information about redirection of post) of the Social Security Administration (Fraud) Act 1997 is 5th April 1999. Marjorie Mowlem One of Her Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State 27th March 1999 (This note is not part of the Order) This Order provides for the coming into force of sections 20(2) and 21(2) of the Social Security Administration (Fraud) Act 1997, which relates to the return of social security post by the Post Office in Northern Ireland and others who convey postal packets and information required by the Department of Health and Social Services for Northern Ireland and the Northern Ireland Housing Executive about the redirection of such post.
