The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of powers conferred on him by sections 8(1) to (4) and (6) and 126(4) and (5) of the National Health Service Act 1977[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order: Citation, commencement and interpretation 1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the Health Authorities (England) Establishment Order 1996 Amendment and the Cambridgeshire and Norfolk Health Authorities (Establishment etc.) (Amendment) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st April 1999. (2) In this Order, "the Principal Order" means the Health Authorities (England) Establishment Order 1996 Amendment and the Cambridgeshire and Norfolk Health Authorities (Establishment etc.) Order 1999[2]. Amendment of Order 2. - (1) In article 3(1) of the Principal Order, for the words "For the area of the county of Cambridgeshire", there are substituted the words "For the area of the counties of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough". (2) In article 3(2) of the Principal Order, for the words "The County of Cambridgeshire." (which describe the area), there are substituted the words "The Counties of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.". Frank Dobson One of Her Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State, Department of Health 30th March 1999 (This note is not part of the Order) This Order amends the Health Authorities (England) Establishment Order 1996 Amendment and the Cambridgeshire and Norfolk Health Authorities (Establishment etc.) Order 1999 by adding the county of Peterborough to the area of the Cambridgeshire Health Authority established by that Order. Notes: [1] 1977 c.49. Section 8 was substituted by section 1 (1) of the Health Authorities Act 1995 (c.17) ("the 1995 Act"). Section 126(4) was amended by section 65(2) of the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 (c.19) ("the 1990 Act") and by paragraph 57 of Schedule 1 to the 1995 Act.
