The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 9 of the Great Seal (Offices) Act 1874[1], and with the concurrence of the Treasury, makes the following Order: 1.This Order may be cited as the Crown Office Fees Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st April 1999. 2.The following fees shall be taken in the Office of the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery:
3.The Crown Office Fees Order 1994[2] is hereby revoked. Irvine of Lairg, C. Dated 5th March 1999 We consent Clive J. C. Betts Bob Ainsworth Two of the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury Dated 8th March 1999. (This note is not part of the Order) This Order revokes and replaces the Crown Office Fees Order 1994. It alters some of the fees to be taken in the Office of the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery, as follows: (1) For Letters Patent under the Great Seal:
(b) for Queen's Counsel, there is no change; (c) for Charter of Incorporation or Supplemental Charger, the fee is increased from Ј180 to Ј315; (d) for Grant of Title of City, there is no change; (e) for Grant of Title of Lord Mayor, there is no change; (2) For Writ of Summons on the Determination of an abeyance of a Barony, the fee is increased from Ј120 to Ј150.
