The Secretary of State for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 158 of the Government of Wales Act 1998[1], hereby makes the following Order: 1.This Order may be cited as the Government of Wales Act 1998 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1998. 2.The date of 1st December 1998 is appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Government of Wales Act 1998- Sections 1 to 20 (The National Assembly for Wales) including Schedule 1. Sections 21 to 45 (Assembly Functions) including Schedules 2, 3 and 4. Sections 46 to 49 (Assembly Procedure-introductory, and initial provisions). Sections 52 to 79 (Assembly Procedure) including Schedule 5. Sections 80 to 103 (Assembly Finance). Section 106 (Community Law). Sections 108 to 110 (International Obligations and Decisions about Assembly Functions) including Schedule 8. Sections 113 to 115 (Local Government, the Voluntary Sector and Business) including Schedule 11. Sections 119 to 124 (Miscellaneous Provisions about the Assembly). Sections 144 to 149 (Reform of Welsh Public Bodies-accountability and miscellaneous) including Schedule 17. Provision for the commencement of the following provisions of the Act has previously been made by the Government of Wales Act 1998 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1998 (S.I. 1998/2244) as follows-
