The Limit in Relation to Provision of Digital Programme Services Order 1998

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by paragraph 7(9)(c) and (10) of Part III of Schedule 2 to the Broadcasting Act 1990[1], hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement
    1.This Order may be cited as the Limit in Relation to Provision of Digital Programme Services Order 1998 and shall come into force on 14th November 1998.

Amendment to paragraph 7 of Part III of Schedule 2 to the Broadcasting Act 1990
    2.Paragraph 7 of Part III of Schedule 2 to the Broadcasting Act 1990 shall be amended as follows:-

(a) in sub-paragraph (7)(b) the number "24" shall be substituted by the number "40" and the number "4" shall be substituted by the number "10";

(b) in sub-paragraph (7)(c) the number "24" shall be substituted by the number "40".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the limit in relation to provision of digital programme services detailed in paragraph 7 of Part III of Schedule 2 to the Broadcasting Act 1990 by substituting different numbers for certain of the numbers for the time being specified in sub-paragraph (7).
