The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 126(3) of the National Health Service Act 1977[1] and by section 5(1) of, and paragraph 29(1) of Schedule 2 to, the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990[2] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, considering it appropriate in the interests of the health service to make this Order[3], and after completion of the consultation prescribed under paragraph 29(3) of Schedule 2 to the latter Act[4], hereby makes the following Order: Citation and commencement 1.This Order may be cited as the Dissolution of the South Warwickshire Health Care National Health Service Trust and the South Warwickshire Mental Health National Health Service Trust Order 1998 and shall come into force on 1st April 1998. Dissolution of NHS trusts 2. - (1) The South Warwickshire Health Care National Health Service Trust established by the South Warwickshire Health Care National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1991[5] is dissolved, and accordingly that Order is revoked. (2) The South Warwickshire Mental Health National Health Service Trust established by the South Warwickshire Mental Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1993[6] is dissolved, and accordingly that Order is revoked. Signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Health Alan Milburn Minister of State, Department of Health 3rd March 1998 (This note is not part of the Order) This Order dissolves the South Warwickshire Health Care and the South Warwickshire Mental Health National Health Service Trusts on 1st April 1998. This Order should be read in conjunction with the South Warwickshire Combined Care National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1998[7].
