The Invergarry-Kyle of Lochalsh Trunk Road (A87) Extension (Skye Bridge Crossing) Toll Order (Variation) Order 1997

 Laid before Parliament11th December 1997 
 Coming into force1st January 1998 

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 34(1) of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991[1], with the consent of the concessionaire in terms of section 34(5) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and Commencement
    1.This Order may be cited as the Invergarry-Kyle of Lochalsh Trunk Road (A87) Extension (Skye Bridge Crossing) Toll Order (Variation) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 1st January 1998.

Variation
    2. - (1) Schedule 1 to the Invergarry-Kyle of Lochalsh Trunk Road (A87) Extension (Skye Bridge Crossing) Toll Order 1992[2] shall be varied as follows.

    (2) For the table forming that Schedule substitute the following:-

    (3) For the definition of "Discount" substitute the following:-

      " "Discount" applies in respect of a single use of the crossing where an agreement entered into by virtue of section 36(3)(b) of the Act (compounding in advance for the payment of tolls) provides for the purchase of a book of-

      (a) 20 non-transferable tickets in the case of a motorcycle or car; and

      (b) 10 non-transferable tickets in all other cases.".
