The Minister for the Civil Service, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(5) and (8)(a) of the Superannuation Act 1972[1] and now vested in him[2], hereby makes the following Order: - 1.This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Admission to Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972) (No. 3) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 7th April 1997. 2.The office of the social fund Commissioner for Great Britain is hereby added to the offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972 with effect from 1 June 1995. 3.The office of the social fund Commissioner for Northern Ireland is hereby added to the offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972 with effect from 1 June 1995. Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster for the Minister for the Civil Service Roger Freeman 17th March 1997 (This note is not part of the Order) This Order adds -
(b) the office of the social fund Commissioner for Northern Ireland to the offices listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation Act 1972 so that section 1 of that Act (under which the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme, the Civil Service Additional Voluntary Contribution Scheme and the Civil Service Compensation Scheme have been made) may apply to them.
