The Treasure Act 1996 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1997

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the power conferred by section 15(2) of the Treasure Act 1996[1], hereby makes the following Order:

1.This Order may be cited as the Treasure Act 1996 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1997.

2.Section 11 of the Treasure Act 1996 shall come into force on 13th March 1997.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order appoints 13th March 1997 as the date for the coming into force of section 11 of the Treasure Act 1996.
