The Child Abduction and Custody (Parties to Conventions) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1996

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 15th day of October 1996

Present,

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

    Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by sections 2 and 13 of the Child Abduction and Custody Act 1985[1], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Child Abduction and Custody (Parties to Conventions) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1996.
        2.    The Child Abduction and Custody (Parties to Conventions) (Amendment) Order 1996[2], the Child Abduction and Custody (Parties to Conventions) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1993[3] and the Child Abduction and Custody (Parties to Conventions) Order 1993[4] are revoked.
        3.    The Child Abduction and Custody (Parties to Conventions) Order 1986[5] is amended by deleting Schedules 1 and 2 and substituting therefor Schedules 1 and 2 which are set out in the Schedule to this Order.
