The Pensions Act 1995 (Commencement No. 6) Order 1996

Made15th July 1996

    The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 180(1) of the Pensions Act 1995[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
    Citation and interpretation
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Pensions Act 1995 (Commencement No. 6) Order 1996.
    Appointed day
        2.    The day appointed for the coming into force of section 116(1) of the Pensions Act 1995, is the day following the day on which this Order is made.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

    This Order provides for the coming into force of section 116(1) of the Pensions Act 1995 (penalties for breach of regulations).
