The A23 Trunk Road (Purley Cross Junction Improvement) Trunking Order 1996

Coming into force16th April 1996

    The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980[1], and now vested in him[2], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf:—
        1.    This order may be cited as the A23 Trunk Road (Purley Cross Junction Improvement) Trunking Order 1996 and shall come into force on 16th April 1996.
        2.    The length of highway described in the Schedule to this Order shall become a trunk road from the date when this Order comes into force.
        3.    The centre line of the new trunk road is indicated by a heavy black line on the site plan contained in the plan folio numbered LRO 64/89/2/01-2, marked "The A23 Trunk Road (Purley Cross Junction Improvement) Trunking Order 1996", signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at the Highways Agency, St Christopher House, Southwark Street, London SE1 0TE.
