The Child Abduction and Custody (Parties to Conventions) (Amendment) Order 1996

Present,

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

    Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by sections 2 and 13 of the Child Abduction and Custody Act 1985[1], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Child Abduction and Custody (Parties to Conventions) (Amendment) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 1st March 1996.
        2.    The Child Abduction and Custody (Parties to Conventions) (Amendment) (No. 3) Order 1995[2] and the Child Abduction and Custody (Parties to Conventions) (Amendment) (No. 4) Order 1995[3] are revoked.
        3.    The Child Abduction and Custody (Parties to Conventions) Order 1986[4] is amended by deleting Schedule 2 and substituting therefor the Schedule at Schedule A to this Order.
        4.    The Child Abduction and Custody (Parties to Conventions) Order 1993[5] is amended by deleting the Schedule and substituting therefor the Schedule at Schedule B to this Order.
