REGISTRATION OF BIRTHS, DEATHS, MARRIAGES, ETC.

    The Registrar General for Scotland, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 1 to the Adoption (Scotland) Act 1978[1] and with the approval of the Secretary of State, hereby makes the following Regulations:
    Citation and interpretation
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Adopted Children Register and Parental Order Register (Form of Entry) (Scotland) Regulations 1995 and shall come into force on 1st January 1996.
    Form of entry in the Adopted Children Register
        2.    The entry to be made in the Adopted Children Register pursuant to a direction contained in an adoption order shall be in the form set out in Schedule 1 to these Regulations.
    Form of entry in the Parental Order Register
        3.    The entry to be made in the Parental Order Register pursuant to a direction contained in a parental order shall be in the form set out in Schedule 2 to these Regulations.
    Revocations
        4.—(1)  The Adopted Children Register (Form of Entry) (Scotland) Regulations 1991[2] are hereby revoked.

        (2)  The Parental Order Register (Form of Entry) (Scotland) Regulations 1994[3] are hereby revoked.

[1] 1978 c. 28: paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 1 has effect in relation to parental orders and to applications for such orders with the modifications specified in paragraph 18 of Schedule 1 to the Parental Orders (Human Fertilisation and Embryology) (Scotland) Regulations 1994 (S.I. 1994/2804).
