CIVIL AVIATION

The Civil Aviation Authority (Borrowing Powers) Order 1995

Coming into force11th May 1995

    Whereas a draft of this Order has been laid before and approved by a resolution of the House of Commons;
    Now, therefore, the Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(6) of the Civil Aviation Act 1982[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Civil Aviation Authority (Borrowing Powers) Order 1995 and shall come into force forthwith.
        2.    The sum of £550 million is hereby specified for the purposes of section 10(6) of the Civil Aviation Act 1982, as the aggregate amount in respect of money borrowed and initial debt which shall not be exceeded.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order increases the maximum amount of the principal of the Civil Aviation Authority's outstanding borrowing from £500 million to £550 million.
