The London Regional Transport (Penalty Fares) Act 1992 (Activating No. 2) Order 1995

    The Secretary of State for Transport, at the request of London Regional Transport and in exercise of the power conferred by section 3(4) of the London Regional Transport (Penalty Fares) Act 1992[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—
    Citation and commencement
        1.    This Order may be cited as the London Regional Transport (Penalty Fares) Act 1992 (Activating No. 2) Order 1995 and shall come into force on 30th April 1995.
    Activation of penalty fare provisions
        2.    Sections 4 and 6 to 9 of the London Regional Transport (Penalty Fares) Act 1992 shall have effect, as from 30th April 1995, with respect to any bus service to which that Act applies by virtue of section 3(1) thereof.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order brings into force on 30th April 1995 the provisions of the London Regional Transport (Penalty Fares) Act 1992 as to the charging of penalty fares on bus services to which, by virtue of section 3(1) thereof, that Act applies. The bus services concerned are services provided under an agreement with London Regional Transport, if the agreement has been entered into under section 3(2) of the London Regional Transport Act 1984 and if it provides that the 1992 Act is to apply to services provided under it.
